I loved these shoes so much that I bought 3 pairs!! It's hard to find the kind of stiff soles that I love and these have them. They're nice looking and comfortable. You should definitelly order at least half a size down, however. I'm usually a 10.5 or 11 in women's and I ordered 10 and they fit perfectly with thicker socks.

I bought the FSN hiking boots last year and wore them 4-5 days a week in all weather conditions for 5-10 km hikes. They fit my shoeshoes perfectly. I am wearing them this summerwith thin socks. They are comfy and I have cranky feet. I just purchased my second pair of this model as once the weather turns wet I will need new boots. I was hoping to get the same experience from the shoes but they are a bit big.If I wear my orthotics I lose some of the ankle support but without them I lose arch support.

I bought my second pair of the Asolo FSN boots here last week. I bought a pair last year and loved them. They were worn every day for hikes between 5 and 10 km on logging roads, frozen lakes, clear cuts and swamps.I wore them with snowshoes.I have very grumpy feet so I thought I would try Asolo shoes in the same size. The shoes seem a little large but hope that when I switch to heavier socks this fall they will fit better.

This is a nice looking and practical shoe. It fits perfectly, leaving wiggle-room for the toes. It could, however, be a little more padded. The sole feels hard. Perhaps as I break them in more, I'll feel more give. If not, I'll add a gel insole.

The site recommended getting a whole size smaller. I bought a half size and I think the whole size would have been too small. The half size does leave some room but room that I could had some insole cushioning or room to wear thicker socks. I went walking 6-7 miles shortly after I bought these. They worked well.

I haven't worn these shoes out in the wet fields yet so I hope they are good and waterproof. Otherwise, they seem a little stiff but with heavy socks they are comfortable.

My first pair of Asolo hikers were the most comfortable and the best fit online or in stores. There was literally no break in period and they were as comfortable as my runners, but good support and lots of room in the toe box, and I ordered my usual 6.5 M. The 5.5 seems to be the best fit, but as I mentioned I put a gel heel to accomodate the ankle rub, and hopefully the toe box will stretch with use. I would caution others who want a perfect fit. If I were using these for more than day hikes these would go back.

My first experience with Asolo set me up for preparing for the next pair. They do run large, but once I put in my arch supports and such they were okay, so follow the ordering tips.(1/2 size works if you use shoe inserts.)I did note a bit of narrowness on the right shoe toe area. It was an adjustment to the shoe stiffness originally, but having high arches and a lot of outer edge sole wear this shoe cut down on that issue. If these shoes last as long as the last pair (4+yrs.) I will be extremely happy. Since this style isn't completely leather they may work for me during the summer rains at work. I spend a lot of time on my feet working outdoors in the summer, but usually wear running shoes unless it rains or is cold.

I really liked these shoes. I usually wear a 9.5 but when I saw they ran big I ordered a 9. They are still a little loose and I have a bunion on my left foot so the smaller toe box rubs it raw sometimes, but overall these are great shoes! They are waterproof which is great for the rain and I lead trips in the backcountry, so these work well for that too. I wouldn't recommend wearing them around town, they don't feel too great on pavement. They are a little stiff when you first get them, but after a few wears on the trail they felt great!

Size suggestions were correct, I'm a 10.5 - 11 and ordered the 10. Would have been the right size, but I have narrow heels, so they slipped off a bit. The shoe was a bit wide, except for the toe box area.
