This is the second pair. The first is great and I wanted a second to alternate extending the life of the shoe. I walk my dogs six plus miles a day with summer here I need a highly beathable shoe - the lightweight of the shoe just makes it better. I have worn Asolo for many years all have been grear.

Well, these are a great deal for the waterproofing, works great. I hike in the adirondacks and catskills on some very rocky, tough trails and trailess peaks, and take these winter hiking as well (with microspikes). I used these heavily in all types of terrain, my gripe is the heel sole is falling apart, realistically only after a few months of use. Had much longer, durable life with the cheap Raichle G3s on here, which lasted me 1.5 years under the same very aggressive hiking terrain. Disappointed, will never buy Asolo again, they dont hold up to the abuse that is realistic for the northeast.

Walk 8-10 miles/day in northeast Iowa. Desired very light, tennis shoes w/good traction, stability, but waterproof. These shoes fit the bill!! No break-in period required. Love red color...very updated look. Buying 2nd pair for reserves as I go through shoes quickly walking 56+ miles/week. If purchased you won't be disappointed.

As usual I was able to find a suitable shoe for my everyday 'runnings': I am an elementary educator and the students (all 381 of them!) keep me on my feet all day, each day! Thanks Sierra

The tongue is a little odd fiting but I understand the reasoning. They did not get the stitching quite right on one of the shoes but functionally perfect. Great shoe.

I got this shoe to wear on the job where my shoes are exposed to lots of moisture, stepping in water and water being sprayed on. I walk on average 2-5 miles per day on job and this shoe has proven to be very water proof and is very comfortable. Just a note I have a very skinny foot so the toe maybe good for people with wider widths.

I put in an earlier review which you can read below. I have now had the shoes for a couple of months and like them so much that I don't want to be without when first pair wears out - so bought second pair that will be held in reserve.
