“Poor design for hiking”

By SteveVerified Purchaser from Baltimore, MD on 01/19/2010
Pros:
Comfortable, No Break-in, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant
Cons:
Poor Traction
Best Uses:
Cold Weather, Everyday, Wet Conditions
Describe Yourself:
Casual/Recreational
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
“These boots are ok, but the main problem is their lack of stability. The tread is very narrow, meaning that it's incredibly easy to twist your ankle. Additionally, the traction is the least aggressive I've seen on anything labeled as a "hiking" boot. They may good for cold weather or wintersports, but I wouldn't take them on anything resembling a real hike.”
