I now order Asolo's half a size larger or my normal size if the boot is offered in wide width. So, boot fitted good. Asolo boots appear more durable compared to boots in this price range such as merrell, etc.

I take a US size 8 in almost everything (I know, I know, I have small feet). In some shoes I even take an 8.5. I've learned not to trust comments on whether footwear is a "big 8" or a "small 8." So I disregarded the warning to order larger and actually went smaller-to 7.5 (prior experience with these type). So I get them and they are at least one size too big (certainly far bigger than my son's new Merrells which are 8 also). Sent them back for a 7 (don't think I've ever worn a 7 before) and the length is fine though they're a bit tight widthwise. I'm hoping they'll loosen up there a bit.

These boots--like all Asolos--are simply awesome. As headline states, they feel bulletproof. Unfortunately, because so many reviews claim this boot runs small, I went against my better judgement and purchased 1/2 size larger than normal...mistake. Love boots so much that I am keeping them, and have fashioned a second set of insoles to make up the size difference. Happy hiking!

It is hard to remember when I didn't own a pair of Asolo boots. These boots fit my feet like no others. Their quality is remarkable. They have never failed me whether I am on alpine terrain in a hail storm or covering long miles through the forest. They are incredibly comfortable, sturdy, light-weight, water proof and provide maximum traction. Would not go hiking without 'em.

for me, there was a short break in time, about 2 weeks of daily use. they're extremely comfortable now, fit true to size (length and width) and have kept me dry and warm. the cobalt blue looks great too. highly recommended.
