I am worse than my wife when it comes to shoes-my closet is full of Scarpas, Merrels, and Asolos.

I got these to hike in and also to walk to the train and to work here in the NYC area (I wear my ski clothes to work then change into shirt tie at work) and they are totally comfortable of the 4 mile... Read More

This is a nice pair of boots.
They will require very little, if any, break in.

So far I'm very well pleased with these boots. I've worn them to work for about a week with snow and / or melting snow, slush, and ice. They've got as much grip as anything I've worn under these conditions, and my feet stay perfectly dry. Took 2-3 days to break in. The tongue folded at a point that would rub on my ankle bone, but that's broken in to be very comfortable now. I have narrow feet, and these definitely have a more narrow fit which is perfect for me. All of the stitching and materials appear to be very good quality. I expect these boots to last me a long time.

I am normally a 10.5 shoe but sometimes go with 11. These are true to size at 10.5. I got the medium width as I usually do and it fit but after a short time it was uncomfortable. Returned for the wide and everything's been great since. They do run narrow and even though I think my foot is relatively narrow, the wife's are perfect.

I ordered these in a wide fitting but they were still uncomfortably constricting in the foot - I think the height of the footboy is what causes that feeling (I have high arches). Wore them inside for a couple of days, but in the end returned them because the other Asolos I ordered were more comfortable

    • Answer It's the fugitives served me well and fit perfect right out of the box, after reading reviews on the neutron Toebox being a little narrow I opted for the wide and that seem to be the perfect fit

    • Answer One of the reasons I like Asolo is the consistency in their sizing. I had a 9 in my old boots (different model). My new boots fit like a glove! Hope you find the same!

    • Answer These are great boots they fit well and true to size, if you're planning on wearing thicker than normal socks I would go a half size larger as these boots are made for action and to be cinched up good and snug

    • Answer I would order a hole size up, an 8. Hope that helps.

    • Answer I order a half size over and wear mid weight socks, so I would suggest 7-1/2. If you have wide feet, by all means order them in wide, like I do.

    • Answer Hi Rich. I have had 6 or 7 pairs of Osolo boots and all of them have fit true to size even with mid-weight hiking socks and athletic insoles. So if I were you I would go ahead and order the size 7.

    • Answer I've done several 60+ mile weeks in the Rocky Mountains (US and Canada) with these boots as well as weekly training hikes of 10-25 miles over the past few years and have had no issues. I have wide feet so I buy a half size larger in wide. This one of the few manufacturers that make wides available in most of their models. I wear Asolo exclusively and I have recently bought extra pairs while they are still available. So, I wouldn't think twice about them if I were doing the TduMB.

    • Answer We currently only have this available in medium and wide width. I am not able to accurately answer your question as to whether it will work for someone with B width, due to the number of factors that affect how a boot may fit you.

    • Answer I wear a size 12B and these boots are absolutely perfect. I wore them the last couple days for a brief break in, then put on my old FSN 95's, which after 3 yrs of doing landscaping, are done. You will love these boots, cool, waterproof and mine never create a foot funk stink. After three years are still odor free, wife can attest to that.

    • Answer I ordered a W width for my husband and it fits him perfectly. I would assume the other widths would be accurately sized.
