I am worse than my wife when it comes to shoes-my closet is full of Scarpas, Merrels, and Asolos.

I got these to hike in and also to walk to the train and to work here in the NYC area (I wear my ski clothes to work then change into shirt tie at work) and they are totally comfortable of the 4 mile... Read More

  • “What is the the heel-toe drop with these boots? Thanks!”
Asked by Wayne from New York on 1/22/2017 6:16:12 PM
    • 0-mm (drop zero) the feeling is extremely flat to me. Hope this helps. Thanks

    • Not sure what you mean... I love the boots! Cheers. Jack

    • This boot does not list the heel-toe drop.
Answered on 1/23/2017 9:39:51 AM by Product Specialist Greg from Sierra Trading Post
    • About one inch I believe. I added high arch with extra heel and ball cushion insoles into my boots. Still plenty of room in the toe box and no increase in lace pressure. Maybe slight height increase in heel area with insole but out of the box I would say one inch.

    • Sizes are generally consistent within a brand.

    • It's the fugitives served me well and fit perfect right out of the box, after reading reviews on the neutron Toebox being a little narrow I opted for the wide and that seem to be the perfect fit

    • One of the reasons I like Asolo is the consistency in their sizing. I had a 9 in my old boots (different model). My new boots fit like a glove! Hope you find the same!

  • “I wear a size 7 in U.S. what size should I order?”
Asked by Rich from New York on 12/18/2016 7:22:08 AM
    • The sizes are listed on the page in US sizes!
Answered on 12/18/2016 7:27:45 AM by KimWilson from NY
    • These are great boots they fit well and true to size, if you're planning on wearing thicker than normal socks I would go a half size larger as these boots are made for action and to be cinched up good and snug

    • I would order a hole size up, an 8. Hope that helps.

    • I order a half size over and wear mid weight socks, so I would suggest 7-1/2. If you have wide feet, by all means order them in wide, like I do.

    • Hi Rich. I have had 6 or 7 pairs of Osolo boots and all of them have fit true to size even with mid-weight hiking socks and athletic insoles. So if I were you I would go ahead and order the size 7.

    • I've done several 60+ mile weeks in the Rocky Mountains (US and Canada) with these boots as well as weekly training hikes of 10-25 miles over the past few years and have had no issues. I have wide feet so I buy a half size larger in wide. This one of the few manufacturers that make wides available in most of their models. I wear Asolo exclusively and I have recently bought extra pairs while they are still available. So, I wouldn't think twice about them if I were doing the TduMB.
Answered on 11/5/2016 7:22:55 PM by Mark from Boston
    • I have not done the Tour du M; but I've just returned from some rugged climbing in Wyoming. I have made these boots regular hunting boots. I am on my third pair.
