    turned my 8 year old Tecnica's into a flip flop last year and was searching for a replacement for upcoming CO trips. So far, so great! Only one hot spot on right heel but that has more to do with my right foot being a half size smaller than my right. I'm 6 ft 175 lbs and have been hitting the local 50 foot 8% hill with a 55 lb pack and they have been great and provide good support... (give me a break on the hill! I'm a flat lander!) I plan on using them to push a couple of 14ers this summer and maybe take them to camp Muir next year on Rainier. Great traction and sturdy build make for a great boot... expect they should be fully broken in within 50 miles but not bad right out of the box.

    Asolo is a quality boot. This boot is a bit tall and heavy for everyday wear for me, but great for outdoor, winter wear, or for hiking that I do.

    Great fitting boot right out of the box! Very comfortable with little break-in. Boot is very lightweight. I've used them for a variety of tasks, but haven't taken them on a challenging hike yet, so couldn't rate the traction or comfort over long hikes. Fantastic product from Asolo.

    Asolo's are top quality. Construction is consistent with the other Romanian made boots. Too soon to tell regarding longevity and water tightness, but after a number of years and many miles on my last set, these appear to be up to that challenge. These Vibram soles have markedly better wet traction than the standard soles.
