I have tried so many different boots from Merrell's to Vasque and beyond. I am an avid hiker and outdoor adventurist. In addition, I exercise large canines for a living and often walk over 12 miles a day. I met a man on a hiking trail who was wearing a pair of Asolo's and he said they were the best ... Read More

These boots fit well and would be entirely awesome if they didn't have a really cheap sole. Granted, I hike everyday for work but boots usually last me at least a year. I had a pair of Scarpa boots that lasted 4 years at this job. These boots lasted only 3 months before that was hardly any tread left on the soles and one of the soles is 1/3 detached from the boot! They are Vibram soles, but I think Vibram has sadly gone in the direction of most other big companies- making cheap product that need to be replaced often. It's a shame, because the rest of the boot is quality material that would last much, much, much longer. Boo Vibram, Boooooo!

If you are looking for a comfortable pair of boots without the Goretex lining, then these are the boots for you! Comfortable, great ankle support, and the lack of Goretex keeps your feet cooler on the hot summer hikes! They do seem to run about a half size large.

I have flat it can be challenge finding something that fits my foot. Definately fine on flatter terrain but I wore them a few times up steep hikes and they did start rubbing the back of my ankles to the point of slight discomfort. I may need to break them in more...but I don't think I should have to.

I bought these boots for an upcoming trip. They are very comfortable right out of the box, don't require a lot of breaking in. They were slightly big for the size listed, but this isn't a problem, it leaves plenty of room for thicker socks in the winter. Overall, I would highly recommend these boots! They are a great buy on clearance!
