“I ordered this particular boot because several people had said it felt a little big. I vary between a 10 or a 10 1/2, so I am very pleased with the fit... enough room in the toes, and not necessarily wide. I have been out for an hour or two at a time and they have been very comfortable, so minimal breakin is required. Have not actually been in water, but the construction appears watertight. As with any hiking boot, it feels heavy when you first put it on (compared to everyday shoes) but not uncomfortably so and it is not clunky. It has enough flexibility that you don't feel like you are clomping along. Excellent stability and traction. Too soon to say how the suede will wear or look over time, but I really like the way they look new!”
