I've only ever worn Zamberlain's, but decided to try another all leather boot. I like the full lether ones because the seams on other boots always seem to pinch my foot somewhere. After 12 years of wearing Zamberlain's, these boots feel exactly the same and like them, surround your foot with comfort, no pinch spots and a durable feel.

I really like everything about these boots but I just want to warn anyone who might buy these that after about 3 weeks of wearing them, one of the lacing eyelets ripped out of the boot while I was tying my laces. So beware, maybe it was a fluke, I can't say for sure.

    This is a great boot/shoe. Ladies...order 1/2 size smaller than normal. I wear a 6 and ordered a 5 1/2 and it fits great!

I found these boots to be a perfect fit and true to size. The break-in period was quick, however I did develop blisters on my first major hike in these boots. It was a 6+ hour hike on rocky, muddy, and snowy terrain and I took too many steps with loosened laces. I don't really think a longer break-in period would have mattered. My best suggestion, make sure your laces stay tight!

I ordered this particular boot because several people had said it felt a little big. I vary between a 10 or a 10 1/2, so I am very pleased with the fit... enough room in the toes, and not necessarily wide. I have been out for an hour or two at a time and they have been very comfortable, so minimal breakin is required. Have not actually been in water, but the construction appears watertight. As with any hiking boot, it feels heavy when you first put it on (compared to everyday shoes) but not uncomfortably so and it is not clunky. It has enough flexibility that you don't feel like you are clomping along. Excellent stability and traction. Too soon to say how the suede will wear or look over time, but I really like the way they look new!

Love Asolo shoes, and they ARE waterproof - however, I traded this one for another that was a bit lighter for over sea's travels and less strenuous occasions.

your recommendation to get 1/2 size smaller in this boot was right on for me. Very pleased with quality and fit,no painful break in and am wearing them often.

I love these boots! I got them and only had time to wear them around the house before I wore them to hike Longs Peak (14,200ft). NO BLISTERS! I couldn't believe it! Just amazing! Oh and I think the color grows on you...as long as you think you're cool, you can pull it off :)

I've worn my boots hiking twice now, still working on getting them broken in for an upcoming backpacking trip. Overall, I like their sturdiness & traction. The fact that they are water-proof was the selling point for me.
