I thought the sizing on these shoes was perfect. I wear a size 6.5 most of the time in regular shoes. I usually have to size up in hiking shoes to get that extra room in the toe so when I'm hiking/running downhill I have the extra room I need. I was able to order my true shoe size and get that ex...

These shoes are great for hiking on rocky terrain because of their sturdy soles. I can't wait to wear them to town on a rainy day to see how they do on a hard surface. I like the neutral color (got the gray).

The reviews about these shoes are spot on: the shoes are sturdy, comfortable, and run BIG. I wear a 7.5 in a dress pump and an 8.5 in a running shoe to accomodate an orthotic and thick wool socks. Based on the reviews, I ordered these shoes in an 8. I received the shoes about a week ago and took two 5-mile neighborhood hikes on pavement and through a hilly, paved walking park. I need to wear my thickest socks, and then the shoes fit very well. I hiked on sand dunes, in the rain, yesterday. My feet stayed dry and the shoe support on the steep and uneven dunes was great. The shoes are also more stylish looking than other trail shoes I have worn. The weight is light, as well.

These are super-comfortable, sturdy on the trail, and move well. The soles are a harder than usual (even for trail shoes), but certainly prevents rocks/roots from creating any shock. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well they fit right out of the box; and even though the toe box LOOKS narrow, they aren't. I have a wide forefoot and these shoes are great. (Still waiting to test the waterproofing, but loving them so far!)

These shoes feel really sturdy and have the stiffness of a hiking boot--which is a good thing. However, there is zero cushioning in the insole and no arch support. They do run very large, so definitely order down. I normally wear a 9 (sometimes a 9.5 depending on brand) and have a relatively narrow foot. I ordered an 8.5, and it is still a little too large, especially in length. There's definitely extra room in the toe area. I think an 8 would be too narrow, though, so I'm keeping them. With thicker socks they are fine.

These shoes are great, but they just didn't fit my foot. I have a bunion so I need a wider shoe at the ball of my foot. Otherwise, I think they would be been just what I was looking for and true to size.
