Haven't had them long enough to rate 5 stars, but will if they hold up. Comfortable out of the box and getting better with wear. Haven't had too many really cold/snow days in Boston recently, but they seem to be plenty warm and waterproof.

Great boot for better support than a casual hiking boot. Needs a bit more breakin period than average but I'm sure it will last much longer than a lightweight boot. This is my second pair of these boots and probably not the last.

Shoe has a tag sewn on that says wide but it is about a D width maybe a little wider. The tread is agressive but shoe feels a little unstable because shoe is narrow over all and the heel tread is narrow as well. Getting used to it and really like the way it has stayed dry in snow during hikes of a few hours. Still dry after a month of day use.

This is a very stiff, sturdy boot for those that want one, ideal for off-trail or rough terrain backpacking and mild mountaineering. Should work well with strap-on crampons, not quite as stiff as a true mountaineering boot (and not insulated), but are much stiffer than usual backpacking boots. These are actually even a bit lighter than more typical Asolo hiking boots like the tps520, despite being substantially sturdier. If you want your hiking boots to have a lot of flex, these are not for you. If you want rugged, waterproof boots for harsh terrain, these should be good. Caveat: I haven't had these long enough to really determine long-term durability, but based on the extensive rubber randing and my experience with other Asolo boots, it should be good.
