Conservation Law Enforcement Officer patrolling the Desert. I have worn my first pair almost daily for 12 years and probably have another year left in them. I felt the product and performance indicated that I should get my second pair and just put them away until I absolutely need them.

Seem to be well made boots that should stand up to lots of off-trail hiking and scrambling.

Took these boots out of the box and wore them on a nice weekend of wet hiking weather. Feet stayed warm, dry and comfortable. I broke my ankle less than 10 months ago and I need good ankle support..these boots do just that. If your looking for affordable, sturdy, comfortable boots look no further.

Just bought my second pair of the Asolo Sassalong. The first pair are at 75% but I love these boots so much I had to have a backup pair for when the first pair finally wear out. I've owned these for 6 months and they are hands down the best boot I own. They take a little bit to break in during which time they are really stiff. Once broken in though, this is a very pliable boot. There is a decent amount of ankle protection too. All in all, a well deserved 5 stars.

This boot will be used on 50 mi hike under moderate load by an old Scout who hasn't been on a hike for a while. I've worn it casually now to break in boot. Boot probably fits better than it feels as it is very stiff. It may not be so much of breaking in the boot as accustoming my foot to the boot. Normal, striding gait in boot is actually very comfortable and quality is good.

The inserts that come with them are not suitable regarding the arch, so I added superfeet liners and these boots rock!

The first three hikes in theses were death-marches and I had no blisters. These are great boots and a great price, hope they aren't discontinued.
