I bought these for day hiking, hunting and geocaching in the mountains. They seemed to run about a half size small so I had to exchange for the next larger size. That was smooth and had them in a few days. I've only worn them a few times so far but on a day of rabbit hunting with my son they did a great job and gave me no problems. Also took a walk in them yesterday in single digit temperatures with gaiters and didn't have cold feet at all. I'm looking forward to how they perform over the next year. These are good quality boots for a good price. I'm happy they are manufactured in Romania as I lived there for two and a half years.

I got these boots one half size larger from my sneaker size so i can wear thick wool socks, at first they felt tight but after a few days of wearing to work and around in different places, they felt fine, I wish i had more money to get another pair.

Its hard to beat a pair of Asolo boots for this price. They are one of the few companies that still makes all-round quality boots. However, I would say there are two deficiencies in this boot. First of all, the Gore-Tex doesn't mean anything. These boots do not breathe--I had sweaty feet on mild days, and I don't sweat a lot. Straight full-grain leather would be better. Secondly, the insoles are useless. You might as well spend the money you save on good ones. As for the positives, the soles are incredibly tough. I've put over two hundred miles on mine, much of it on rocky terrain, and the lugs look barely worn. Also, the leather, despite the problems with the Gore-Tex lining, has taken a lot of abuse and still looks and works well. So, once you have a comfortable footbed, these boots should last a long time.

I ordered a 11W, When I pulled them out of the box they looked like a 9. Surprisingly on my feet they fit beautifully with no break-in. I just did a hike with 1000 ft. rise an drop in 2 miles, there were no problems going up or down. These boots are sort of like old school rock shoes with a lug sole.

I purchased a second pair. heavyduty boots with a good solid platform. They have a good athletic feel when you tighten them down.

very good in the outdoors, stood in a riffle of water for three hours fishing didn't leak once! one thing i am not sure of is if the construction on how the rubber protective coating will hold up around the the bottom edges of the boots will hold up. my last asol's lasted ten years until the dog got'em! i would buy these boots in a whole size bigger than what you would normally buy!
