I received these as a gift as a good shoe to use with traditional wooden snowshoes. The soles are less 'lug' than on most hiking boots and the light weight coupled with warmth and water proofing should make them perfect for this. Comfortable from the first time I put them on.

This is my second pair of hiking boots I've purchased since May. These I bought in desperation because I needed more comfortable boots, and since Fall is approaching I need them to be waterproof. Although I haven't worn them in wet weather yet, I am very pleased with these boots. There was no break-in time and they are very comfortable right out of the box. And priced right. I'm so glad I took a chance on these!

I received my boots and loved them right out of the box. I am a casual outdoors person so they will never see any mountains just lots of everyday outdoor wear and tear. They are light and comfortable. First weekend out was nonstop rain Sat and Sun. My feet stayed warm and dry. Best boots I have ever owned.

i found the boot uncomfortable-didn't like the ankle support. Sent back and replaced with vasque waterproof trail runners-love them!

These shoes are beautiful and llok weel made. I returned them however, because: 1) I wear size 5 to 6 depending on the show cut. 2) I bought these in size 6 to wear with socks. 3) I tried them with a pair of lightweight smartwool phd socks. The shoes "cradled" my feet. However, the these shoes come to a narrow point in front. It pinches my toes. 4) The shoes looked "funny" on my feet - narrow pointed front end, bulky look on the rest. On barrow feet, they will likely look great. 5) Finally, the arch support is practically nonexistent on my feet. I returned them.

These shoes fit like a glove. They are warm and comfy and exactly what I wanted. My last pair of Asolos lasted me 15 years of casual use, so I'm thrilled to get another pair.

great for casual every day wear

I needed a good, waterproof, durable boot for hiking and snowshoeing and this boot was just right. I recently had foot surgery and wanted something with support. Although the sizing was correct my foot is a bit wider because of the surgery so I wish Asolo made wider sized boots. If your foot is normally sized and normal width this boot is great!

I've just started wearing them and am pleased with how they feel, their light weight, and their waterproof capability. I will put them to a true hiking test in the spring.
