I have only tried these on 1 hike so far - they were comfortable right out of the box and great to hike in. So lightweight as well - looking forward to trying these out on a more burly multiday hike with a pack. Didn't want to rush into giving the boots 5 star after one use.

I got these boots for a male friend that has unusually narrow feet. They were a perfect fit and he just loves them. He uses them for a lot of trail time and they are working out wonderfully. Look great too.

The Smarty Gore-Tex hiking boot (1770U) does not have a Vibram sole, it is a sturdy rubber sole though.|The difference between the two models is that 1770U is made of Nubuck and synthetic, and the other is Cordura, which is a strong nylon, and a durable suede. 1763R is also lighter slightly.
