“Doesn't live up to Asolo's name”

“I'm writing this for my girlfriend. I own a pair of Asolo FSN 85's, and they are awesome. We stopped at the outlet store in Cheyenne on our way to Nevada because she needed a decent pair of hiking boots. Out of Asolo's Womens line, this is the pair she went with. It was a mistake. These boots were used for field work in Nevada wilderness. Day 1, she noticed that the boots were already looking worn. Day 2, the *stiching* was already coming undone. Some the the material was folding down off the shoe making a large gap, making a nice little entry for sand to makes its way in... Sand, some rock, and sagebrush should not cause this kind of wear on ANY boot in two days. TWO DAYS! Looking at the boots, most people would think she'd had them for years. I've had mine just as long, and used them in the same terrain, and mine still look new, albeit dusty. Do yourself a favor, look at other models but this, unless the harshest terrain you plan to use them on is paved trails.”
