These shoes have been awesome, both for hiking as well as daily wear. High quality, super comfortable.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mountain Man from So. Calif. on Sunday, January 18, 2015On my hiking shoes, I always get 1/2 size larger. These are comfy right out of the box. Wore them around the house for a few minutes, then went on a 8 mile walk on the PCT and even did some boulder hopping and these shoes stuck like glue!! Very light compared to my hiking boots, . Almost too nice to put on the trail, but glad I did!!!!! Pay the extra money for a good shoe and enjoy the outdoors, but at STP, the price is right!!!
I would recommend for light hiking only in dry climates. Asolo's high quality will still shine through in the right climate.Verified Buyer Reviewed by smd11873 from CT on Saturday, January 10, 2015Shoe is quality as usual with asolo's products. I would recommend these more for casual trails and tourism along the beaten path. Sole has good sturdy grip. They are light, very breathable and fit is spot on as usual with asolo.
Only had this shoe for a short time during winter months but After wearing them I can say they are definitely a fair, warm to hot weather shoe. Not good for cold, wet climates. Although my feet did not get wet when I walked through some slush, they did get very cold and slightly damp after just a few minutes in slush and snow so stay away from snow and wet conditions with these. The goretex version would be better for cooler wet climates or warm wet climates. They would have been great on my recent trip to moab. These shoes will be perfect for dry hot climates. Anywhere that a sturdy hiking boot is to much but you still need some traction. Traction and grip are very good.
One last note. This is probably the only real CON on these shoes. The tongue on these shoes can feel a bit short or get pulled down when you slip them on. Really this is my only complaint. Even with the laces untied and loosened. The tongue seems to slip down when I put my foot into them. I always have to situate them or pull the tongue up before they feel correctly seated and ready to lace up.
