Asolo Sunset Hiking Shoes (For Women)

Was so excited to get these shoes at such an absolute steal! With the Christmas discount, it ended up being almost half of the price at REI. My Asolo gortex hikers run true to size. These shoes DO NOT! Make sure to order a full size SMALLER. My hiking boots are a 10, so I ordered a 9.5 in the shoes and they were too big, even with thick socks. I debated on getting a 9 or even an 8.5 - going with the 9 and keeping my finegers crossed. These are great if you have a wide foot -- if you don't, you may want to consider ordering a size and a half smaller. Kudos to Sierra Trading Company for expert return policy and very courteous staff, still amazed I won't be charged return shipping. I will definitely stay a loyal customer!

Love Sierra Trading Post! Was so excited to see these shoes on sale literally HALF the price at REI. But wow, were they huge! Kudos to Pat in returns, never seen a company so bent on making sure a customer is happy! She sent out my new boots before even receiving my return for no extra charge and I had the new boots in 2 days...and this was during the Christmas rush...amazing. Make sure to order a full size down tho. No break-in needed at all---one of the most comfortable scrambling shoes I've ever owned. Wore them thinking I was going to have to break them in, and laughed at how many people stopped me to ask where I got my shoes, what kind were they, etc. Just wish they were available in another color as I know I'm going to wear these out and would love to have a back-up.

This is a very good looking shoe. I ordered based on content in the other reviews. I ordered an 8.5 (I usually wear a 9.5 in an athletic shoe. The length of the shoes is good for me, the label says size UK 7, EURO 40 1/2, USA 8 1/2). This is an erroneous sizing. The foot bed is a bit hard for my taste, but i am going to try using a simple orthotic. Another issue I have is that the tongue of the shoe is really long and actually cuts into the ankle. If I keep the shoes I will have to take them to the cobbler to have that part trimmed a bit. I HAVE SMALL ANKLES TOO. If i can't get the richer comfort level after i buy the orthotic i will have to send the shoes back. These shoes look great though. They are made in Romania. Surprise not all shoes are made in China.

These shoes are great. I like the design and at first I thought they were way too small but then I realized I could loosen the laces. I bought a size smaller and loosened the laces and they fit perfect. I can't wait to take them out exploring! They feel a bit hard but I think that they will work in.
