The day before I ordered the Asolo Synchro boots from STP I had gone to several outdoor retailers with the intention of buying a pair of hiking boots for an upcoming backpacking trip. I tried on several popular brands and sizes ranging from 9 to 9.5 with varying widths. I was unable to find any bo... Read More

  • Question “What is the break in time on these? Are they pretty good right out of the box? ”

Asked on 7/6/2016 2:16:45 PM by Steven from Colorado
    • Answer They do need a little break in. I just wore em to work for a week before I attempted any hiking at all.
Really do love these and the price from STP is great

    • Answer I backpacked the Grand Canyon (Hermit Trail) all the way down and back out with one break-in hike and -5 days of just "wearing around". These are FANTASTIC boots!!

    • Answer they are great right out of the box. I wore mine one one small 3 mile hike before I went 12.5 in them with no problems.

    • Answer My son said they felt great right out of the box. He said after walking around for them for a few days that they still felt the same. He is currently on a trip with the boots, so I guess I will find out how they stood up within the next 2 months.

  • Question “Do you have these boots 10.5”

Asked on 4/17/2016 11:27:28 AM by Billy from new york
    • Answer We do not currently have these in a 10.5. Due to the nature of the closeout business, we often receive items in limited quantities. Therefore, popular sizes and colors can sell out quickly. Occasionally we are able to reorder a product, but closeout items are typically unable to be reordered. We suggest signing up for the My Updates as the best way to monitor incoming products. You will receive email notifications of our newest stock items.

  • Question “I wear a 9 medium/wide shoe what should I order in the boot? Thanks”

Asked on 10/18/2015 9:14:10 PM by Jim Newell from Austin tx
    • Answer Prob 9/5 wide. I have 8.5 wide feet and I wear 9. I also have an asolo 95 that's in 8.5 and my feet feel very crunched after a long day. With my Synchro size 9, I had no issues.
Answered on 10/18/2015 9:49:41 PM by John from Virginia
    • Answer I have a med to wide foot and I ordered the regular fit and it was plenty wide. I wear a 14 not a 9, but I am glad i didn't get the wide

    • Answer Hi,

I wear a 12 medium and I ordered a 12 wide and the boot fits perfect. I would order a 9 wide and it should fit you perfect.

      Thanks!

    • Answer I wear very consistently in Asolo a 10 1/2 medium and this fit comfortably without being loose, yet long enough to handle the very steep downhill grit and not make my toes bleed. Climbed Wheeler at 66!
