Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
“I bought these shoes for walking and hiking. I wore them for the first time for a 5-mile walk. They were comfortable from the start. (They are more comfortable with thicker cotton gym socks.) My first hike was up Grouse Mountain in Vancouver. The trail is steep with mixed terrain (definitely not paved). The shoes had excellent traction and were comfortable. Although they are sturdy shoes, they are not intended for strenuous rock climbing. They are not clunky or heavy and are attractive enough for general casual wear as well. I have a fairly narrow foot so this might not be the right shoe for you if you have very wide feet. I haven't had the shoes long enough to comment on their durability over time.”
