“Been looking for lightweight Goretex hiking shoes. These were quite comfortable (bit of break-in needed) and the Goretex works well against heavy dew, shallow puddles. Good traction on dry dirt, rocks, woodland, mud, BUT rather poor on wet slippery rocks. An EXTREME test is algae-covered jetty rocks, and they were no better than standard running shoes - I had hoped for better, being avid surf fisherman. Otherwise, these are my standard light hikers!”
