Reviewed by pika12k from Oakland, CA on Tuesday, February 05, 2013I usually wear a Men's 9, but sent these back for an 8.5, which still has plenty of length in the toe. Lacing seems good for creating a custom fit, but I haven't actually used these yet.

Reviewed by Boondocker from Utah on Wednesday, November 28, 2012Boots are stiff, and stay that way for a long time which is just the way I like a boot to perform. Rubber rand keeps scuffs at bay, and the gore-tex lining keeps your feet nice and dry.

Reviewed by paul from sydney on Sunday, October 28, 2012i have just purchased these boots for a forthcoming trip to new zealand for a bit of summer mountaineering. In getting a feel for their fit i have been wearing them on short bushwalks and found them to be surprisingly comfortable. by simply leaving the top eyelets undone the approach walking is ok. when on steeper territory, just do the top eyelets up and you should have a good rigid boot that supports your weight. tightening of the laces may be a bit fiddly with cold hands when on snow and ice. tried them out on a some steep rock and traction was excellent.

Answer Item 75878 comes in a M width only. My opinion is these should work for the late summer they are not insulalted.

Question “How does the sizing compare to the Asolo Fugitive?||The Fugitives are true-to-size (9m) for me, but I'm wondering if I'll need to size up for these boots.”

Answer I wear a size 9 nine in most shoes. I tried on a Fugitive in a 9 and it fit. I then tried on a pair of Titans in a size 9 and they were to big, a 8.5 fit me great. So, the Titans tend to run a little big.

Answer They are compatible with semi-auto crampons, they do not have a front or rear welt

Answer They are not welted construction, but the rear of the boot has a molded-in "shelf" for crampon attachment. They work fine with my semi-auto crampons (strap front, lever rear). It's not shown in the still photos, but you can clearly see it in the video clip on the product page.

Answer Boots are not rated by altitude. These are not insulated so they are not meant for severe cold weather, but with proper socks can be worn at most altitudes.

Answer They could work for both. They may be a little aggressive for WI, but better to have more than less traction.

Answer No they would not. The sole is designed for use with crampons. It is extremely stiff and does not bend. The lugs are not very deep so they'd wear flat quicker than a deep lugged sole. I've lived/hunted in Wisconsin and I have a pair of these boots for mountaineering.

Answer These boots can not be resoled.

Answer No. However, I wouldn't count on or recommend resoling mountaineering boots anyway. The lightweight boots generally are about to fall apart by the time you need resoling, and the heavy weights never fit quite the same after.
