“I have seen comments about how stiff they are or about how they are for ice climbing/Everest type adventures... I'm not trying to sound harsh here, but these are not hiking and/or ice climbing boots. Using these on flat terrain is punishment. These are solid lower elevation mountaineering boots. I have used them in summits of Mount Rainier in Washington (14,410 feet) and they performed perfectly. They are nimble, but stiff enough for crampon use and carrying loads. They accept contact strap crampons extremely well. They perform exceptionally well for me on the mountain. The only concern I have with them is that my toes get cold at altitude, which is normal for a non-plastic boot. These boots were plug and play, though I did break them in before any climbing/mountaineering.”
