I have and love Asolo boots so when I saw these, I thought they would be just as good, which they are...for people with medium wide feet. I'm a wide width and while I can fit in them, they just aren't as comfortable as the wide Asolo boots I own. If you have a medium width, I would definitely recommend them but for me, comfort is important so unfortunately I had to return them. Bummer too because I really loved them. They are the same quality as the boots so you can't go wrong if you fit in them.

This is a good looking shoe and I expect it to preform well on the trail. I wish it had gusseted tongues

I made the mistake of not returning these shoes. They didn't quite fit my feet (size 13) because the shoes were too narrow. The inserts were also super low quality. I hate these shoes.

  • Question “Are these shoes waterproof. I live in Northern Michigan and need a pair of shoes that can handle breif treks in the snow.”
Asked on 12/26/2010 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer These are not waterproof.
Answered on 1/5/2011 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer No they are not waterproof. If you plan to hike a lot in the snow try a mountaineering boot. They are warm and comfortable also they take a lot longer to run into the ground. It just depends how serious you plan to get with the hiking shoe or boot you purchase.

  • Question “I have read the comments that these shoes run "true to size" I am wondering though whether they are sized like an athletic (running) shoe or a dress/casual shoe? I usually wear a US13 in dress/casual shoes but am always a US14 in Asics etc.”
Asked on 1/5/2010 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer I would say true to size for a running shoe. I wear 14 in many different brands of athletic shoe such as Asics, Nike, Mizuno. These fit the same as well.
