    These are great looking but wear out too quickly. I work indoors and wore these to the park a few times and in 6 months the tread is falling off and material is ripped. I am very disappointed in Asolo's quality in these shoes!

    I have used these for casual, light hiking, and a few days running at the park and they look and feel great. Unfortunately, the soles are separating, and there is a tear in the material. I thought was paying for Asolo quality shoes, but I could get the same mileage out of a pair of old con-verse. Very disappointed in the quality!

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    for the non-hiker, these are fine shoes. however, the gore-tex is not sealed at the laces, maning the show tops out at the eyelets and will not keep out rain. you can walk through shallow puddles, but other wise this shoe is not waterproof. breathes very nicely, has a snappy look, and the sole has lasted a long time despite its thinness. overall, not worth the money, though.

    Beautifully constructed lightweight shoes. Love the features. Got them in black, and they go great with my black hi-tech pants. Not afraid to get them wet. Very comfortable. Felt true to size, but I have an average foot. Only concern is how they will wear over time due to light weight, but I am very optimistic based upon the quality of construction.

    These shoes caught my eye because of their style, but when I noticed that they were lined with GoreTex with Vibram soles (characteristics I look for on my active shoes), I had to try them out. They exceeded my expectations. They have excellent breathability and exceptional traction. Great shoe.
