Comfortable shoe for travel...
Reviewed by Sherri from AZ on Thursday, January 7, 2010
I bought these shoes for travel to Europe in the spring, so wanted something waterproof in case of rain. I just received them, so haven't tested them out yet for waterproofness, but have 2 concerns: The tongue of the shoe is not attached to the body, so for walking in extremely wet conditions, I could foresee some leakage. 2nd concern is quality of laces. I only got them today, but they are already beginning to fray... They appear a bit shiny, perhaps due to the waterproofing process, but this made the laces stiff and when pulled tight in order to tie, after only 2 try-ons, they are beginning to unravel. I will replace the laces, however, rather than sending back because these shoes are soo comfortable. I've searched high and low and returned many products in search of 'the right ones.' My search is finally over. BTW, I bought 2 sizes since I'm in-between and I'm keeping the larger pair, so if in doubt, size up.
