So far, terrific. Wore them for the first time on a rocky, hilly five hour hike and they were awesome. No breaking in period AT ALL and great traction as well. I wear a 9 and these may even be a tad bit larger than the usual 9 but I did not try on an 8.5 for comparison. Roomy toe bed but snug enough in the heel to fit my feet properly. Plus, the abundant lacing is great for swelling feet, thicker socks, etc. I have not been able to test their waterproofness yet but with them being Gore-Tex, I'm pretty confident they won't disappoint.

I hike extensively throughout the year and these boots are amazing! I usually wear lightweight hikers but found they weren't taking care of my feet once I got a heavy load on my back. Tried some danner crag rats first (sucked) and then these. Stiff at first. They aren't completely broken in yet, still giving me some blisters on my heel. But in another 20 miles or so they should be perfect. Extremely durable and comfortable. Inside leather is soft and they're stiff enough to handle very steep terrain. Traction is fantastic. I love the lacing system. Best I have seen. Best boot I have owned. Wish I had bought another pair now that they're sold out of my size.

Gorgeous boot but the first time my husband wore them out to Pisgah Forest the rubber over the toe crazed -- lots of splitting/small cracks. Tried contacting ASOLO but that was a run-around. Good support and style, but not for snow or winter treks.
