Years ago, I purchased a pair of standard Asolo boots in a size 10. They fit perfectly. I recently purchased a pair of Power Matic 100 and a pair of Neutron hiking boots, each with a standard width in a size 10. The Asolo Neutron hiking boots fit perfectly. The Power Matic 100 boots were snug on both feet. The right boot rubbed uncomfortably on the inside of the toe box. Sierra Trading Post exchanged the Power Matic 100 boots for another pair of standard size 10. Again, the right boot was uncomfortable in the same way. Sierra exchanged the pair again for a size 10 wide format. The problem was resolved with the wide format. The Power Matic 100 boots have a very stiff sole such to where it is hard to bend with your hands in comparison to the other two Asolo boots previously referenced. The stiff sole will be helpful to dissipate ground irregularities, but it is different.
