I totaly recommend this hiking boot!

Surprisingly comfortable on first wearing. On advice, ordered 1/2 size smaller. Must still use heavier socks for fit. All else beyond expectations.

These boots were comfortable right out of the box. I used them on a short Colorado backpacking trip (15-20 miles) in the Maroon Bells area. They survived lots of ankle-high stream crossings.

i liked these shoes so much i bought a second pair after wearing my Tasmans for 8, 3+ hour hikes on tough trails carrying a 37lb bkpack.

I got these for my son, a boy scout, who's going to Philmont this summer. He already had a pair of boots that he'd broke-in for this trip but as with most kids his age, his feet decided to grow. Needless to say, at the last minute, here I am buying him another pair of boots. These are very well made, has plenty of support and he tells me they feel great on his feet. Just about no break-in at all. He is very pleased with the boots and that's saying something for a 14 year old kid to say!!

Other reviewers were right to order 1/2 size smaller as the shoe runs large; I did as suggested and was rewarded with a perfect fit. These are very comfortable shoes that are so lightweight as to be practically unnoticable in a stride. Great grippy soles too.

I ordered my usual size. It was a little long as I had been warned in other reviews, but I appreciate the extra wiggle room when backpacking to accommodate padded socks. They remain very secure in the heel. When descending ( which is the ruffest part on feet) they remain secure and the room for the toes is greatly appreciated....no toe bang! No black nails...yeah!

These shoes gave me a blister the first time I wore them, but after a few times wearing them, they are perfect. I did not have a problem with the tongue sliding around. Definitely order a half size smaller. Great for cobble stone streets if you are planning a trip to Europe!

I made the mistake of breaking these in on the trail up to the Inter Glacier (Mt. Rainier). I have weak heel skin to begin with so I was prepared wearing duck tape and liner socks. I still blistered. But... Once I got on the snow, these things were great! I would suggest a long, slow break in period for these boots.

Used this pair for hiking in the Smokies. This is my first pair of hiking boots and I really like them. I used them for a week in smokies hiking everyday. These shoes are waterproof and that really helped with the stream crossings. I would recommend them to anyone planning to buy a nice pair of boots for hiking.
