    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I was hoping for a thicker, more plush shearling with a durable suede. This one was very thin, not reflecting the price tag. In fact, the collar was so thin it just barely stood up. I also found the shearling trim on the cuffs to be somewhat effeminate. The best part was that the color of the suede and the shearling were slightly darker than shown and were really nice. Overall, the coat was not what I expected.

    I almost kept this coat...it's warm, it's attractive and great color. Light enought to travel in, but quite warm. Big problem for me was it can't get wet, which makes it no good for me...living in the Northeast, we're always wet these days...Other problems: pockets are too small to be useful & there was some kind of glue residue left in them, which made them sticky..for this kind of price, I couldn't keep it...

    I was skeptical when the jacket arrived. It is actually brown. The jacket was much lighter than my previous shearling jacket. Upon inspection it was a very well constructed and sturdy build. The lighter weight doe not take away any warmth. This jacket goes with me when skiing and meets every apres' ski need!

    Two 'non-issues' but worth mention: First, the jacket is a darker color than the ad portrays,more to dark brown than gold. Second, it is much lighter than it looks. Due to the nature of the materials,and the reality of layering, it will serve fine in the Pacific northwest. Generally, the Aston jacket is attractive and well made.
