This is a really nice coat one of the best casual coats I have ever owned.What could be better is the lappels should be button down because they flap around a bit, and don't conform close to the chest area.also the buttons could have been a blt higher Quality and attached to the coat tighter.With that said, I love this coat.It hangs great and it can easily be seen that it's a high Quality Product.I get lots of compliments when I wear it.Everyone always say's where did you buy that Coat? How much did you pay for it Ect.I say BUY IT!!You will be very happy because I'm a Fanatic with all my Cloths.

This is a well made Aston coat!

Opening the package, I was initially disappointed. I expected a thicker, softer and more dense shearling. Figured out it's the frost tipping that makes the shearling more coarse. However, the closer shorn shearling makes for a more versatile coat. For snow and lower temps, add a sweater. Perfect as is for penetrating foggy cold of San Francisco nights. Great for tramping around in the city: not flashy enough to worry about attracting too much "street attention", yet still makes a quality statement. Great for my trips to Reno/Tahoe in the colder months. Goes with jeans and dress slacks. The chestnut, black/brown color works with almost anything. Love the roll up sleeves to get the perfect length! The coat does have some taper, so size accordingly. Only real negative is the non finished cut edging makes the lapels light and flimsy feeling. One side got creased in transit and I will have to get it steamed to get it to lie properly. Not a big deal but edge hemming would have fixed this. Otherwise this is a five star rating!

This coat is beautiful,I bought it for my boyfriend for Christmas, but as soon as I opened it and felt it I returned it. As the previous reviewer mentioned it is VERY thin, I would not callthis a coat, I would call it a jacket. That said, it looks very nice and seems to be very well contructed, just not sufficient for a serious cold weather environment. Also, the return was handled promptly and efficiently.

Clearly high quality materials and finish, but poor fit and design. Usually wear 42 suit, med or med/large jacket. Got a 42 in this, while chest fits, jacket cut straight, no taper, doesn't give tailored look expected at this price point, and I have an average 36 waist. Just sort of hangs off of you. Sleeves can be rolled up for length fit. Is very light weight, with 4 buttons, top one quite low, no way to close neck. Can't see as very useful in cold weather. I also got the Aston suede long coat, it is exceptionally nice and fits well.
