Aston Leather Long Car Coat - American Lambskin Shearling (For Women)

Like another reviewer, I found this coat to be ridiculously small. I am routinely a size 4, and if anything I feared the coat might be too large (I often wear petites). Instead, I could barely get my arms through the sleeves, and certainly couldn't close the front of the coat. The problem was so dramatic that I suspect the coat was mislabeled as a size four. Should have listened to the other review.

Great coat for people who are always on the run. Never gets in the way as most winter coats usually do.

This long car coat fashioned from the finest lambskin and shearling will be your favorite for years to come. It's cozy warm and thoroughly comfortable.

I just got this and it's georgeous. I got the suede black and, as the photo shows, the collar and cuffs are almost silver grey in color. It is really beautiful with this slight contrast. I will use this for going to dinner or the theatre, or even just shopping or going to the store. It is not as heavy as some I've tried, yet feels very warm and soft. I hope it lasts forever. The only downside is that the pockets are in the front seams so they show some bulk at the stomach. Of course, keeping them empty will solve that problem. On the plus side, the fit is wonderful. It says slim fit but I ordered my regular size and it's perfect. I can get a sweater under it without a problem. It looks very slimming and chic.

I bought this coat thinking it would be perfect for walking around a very cold and windy NYC winter. I usually wear a small or a size 4 in coats so I bought a size 4. It was SO small that I couldn't get the front to meet in order to button it. It was more like a size 0. Aside from that, I felt the quality was not as good as I had expected. I sent it back and didn't order another. Overall I was disappointed because this is what I really wanted.

I fell in love with this coat online and finally decided to purchase it. I ordered a size up and the fit was fine. However, it just didn't seem luxurious or of the highest quality. I debated about keeping it, and decided since I didn't love it to return it. I think its an okay coat, but not one that lives up to the reviews. What turned me off most was that the shearling felt thin and the coat felt okay for fall, but not for a New England winter.

I am usually size 14 but ordered 16 to make sure the coat fit. It was 2 sizes too large. Was expecting a luxurious lightweight coat. This one is quite heavy. The fur is somewhat "rough". Nice but not what I wanted. The garment is made of several "pieces" & for that reason does not look all that expensive. However, the price I got - with several "deals" combined - was so good I'd have probably kept the coat had I been able to order a smaller size in the "krek" but they were all sold out.

I purchased this coat so that I would be comfortably warm in the winter. (This year was a bit too cold for my everyday boiled wool jacket.) But I am so torn about keeping it. I value clothing that are well made, practical, long lasting and very high quality. And, I insist on only wearing natural fibers and materials-- wool, silk, cotton, leather, etc. This coat meets all those specifications. Plus, the brown color is quite lovely. The problem for me is that two years ago I went online to Sierra Trading and completely fell for another Aston style coat. When finally this year I decided to "bite the bullet" and make the purchase, I saw this coat, which was nearly $400.00 less. In other words, I went for practicality over style. For this reason alone, I am a bit disappointed; it's simply not the other coat. I will say that it would be difficult to layer this with a sweater as the fit is perfect for my buxom chest, which is great, but there's not any extra room in there. Also, I regret that the collar does not stand up. I have not yet been able to actually wear the coat yet, as by the time I got around to making the order and it arrived, the weather here was already warm. I did, however, put it on long enough to sit in my car to see how it would feel to drive in it. It's actually perfect! So, I remain torn, and will have to sleep on it yet another night. For those who like to keep it simple, as I try to do in my life, this coat fits the bill. If I do end up keeping it, I would expect it to last a good twenty years, at very least.

classic coat with styling that can go from the office, to going out or casual with jeans and is a perfect look with sherling boots. this is a warm beautiful coat with good weight, and does not feel restricting in the arm/chest area as some shealing or heavier coats do. the sizing is generous and a sweater or heavy shirt can be easily worn underneath.
