Aston Round Shearling Hat (For Women)

Gift for my Mom and she really loves this.

This is a beautiful hat; however the fit is a bit odd. Tight around the shearling band but the suede top is big. I have to tuck it under to make it fit my head.

I live in a rural cold winter area. As I wrote above I could not wear it when I got it and frankly I forgot about it, but doing some mending recently I wondered if I could get the elastic out of the brim. I opened it slightly along the brim seam inside and found no elastic but rather that the brim was wrapped around an absurd wad of polyester tightly stuffed inside it making the roll. I pulled it out - it came out easily - and the brim folded up naturally into a gentle flap all around. Now I wear it all the time.

Sooo small! I wear L, ordered L, fit like S, felt like torture. Maybe good for (rich) kids.

Despite the poor fit, this is a wonderful hat for the money. If only the manufacturer had not sewn the brim so tightly, I might have kept it, because it did have some stretch. I'm wondering if perhaps this is a hat for children. It would work fabulously for kids; well-made, very warm, covers the whole head snuggly, and is quite cute.

The color goes well with my coat, warm, fits snuggly, great for outdoor use in a cold climate.

I had to send this back, it was very small. I ordered the large, could barely get it on. I don't usually have problems with hat size. Too bad, it looked cute and very warm.
