Aston Spanish Merino Shearling Coat with Toscana Shawl Collar and Cuffs (For Women)

The feel of this coat is super soft. The fur along the collar and cuffs is long and thick. It does have polished buttons so I'm not sure they are bone as described. They are not bone color. They feel like plastic. Generous cut in size and length. Can't wait for cold weather.

Got for Wife. Little concerned about sizing but ran true to size. She's slim and it fit like a million buck. Very nice coat and she's thrilled!

This dark brown coat is beautiful. Two things that I was surprised and disappointment by, though, were that there were no "bone" buttons as had been described in the ad (they were manufactured buttons, but they still looked fine). The other disappointment was that in each of the two main coat pockets there is about a one to one and a half inch "hole" or gap in the sewing (you could put a finger or two through it). I'm hoping that I'll be able to find a thick thread and needle to go through the shearling layers and just finish the sewing. Because of the pocket holes, I was seriously thinking of returning the coat, but because the coat is so beautiful and (though expensive to me) is still a bargain for a shearling coat, I decided to keep it. I would have ranked this with five stars but for these couple of "problems."

I loved the picture and description for this item, but I ended up returning it. I think it might look nicer on a smaller person, but I'm a shapely size 14 and it wasn't very flattering. I was also unhappy with the cut of the collar -- it was too flimsy to support the weight of the longer fur, and so it didn't really want to lay flat properly.

This is a very soft, attractive coat. Sleeve cuffs can be folded more or less, depending on your arm length. However, overall sizing is way off -- I would need to order two sizes smaller. Also, pay attention to the details. The two color choices are basically different coats. The darker one would be much dressier than the lighter one, which has more of a casual, rustic detailing due to the button choices and stitching). I returned them with no exchange as ST no longer had what I would assume would be the size that would actually fit me.

This really is a sumptuous coat at an amazing price, but it has a wierd design flaw in my opinion. Normally an 8 to 10, I ordered a 12 as I had read the shoulders tend to be tight. And the 12 just barely fits me in the shoulders, yet the coat LOOKS way too big on the outside: it slopes down from the neck as if shoulder pads had been removed - it's kind of a sloppy look. And the rest of the coat is WAY too big - I swim in it. This would work best for someone with very narrow shoulders and wide hips, and I suppose you could always put shoulder pads in it to deal with the awkwardness there. I'll have to return mine, which is a real shame 'cause I LOVE the color, the quality, etc.

I recently purchased this Ashton Merino Shearling Coat with Toscana Shawl Collar and Cuffs, for my wife. I was a bit worried about getting a shearling coat for her because she has always complained about them being too warm. When she saw this coat, after opening up her present, her jaw dropped and her eyes lit up! She quickly tried it on and was amazed at how light and comfortable it felt, as well as its fit. She was also very impressed with the type of fur that lined the cuffs and made up the shawl collar. She is a very successful VP in the fashion industry for the buying offices of a CA based chain of stores in Mahattan, NY, and was impressed to hear of what the fur was and where it came from. I was very impressed at how this coat's cut complimented my wife's figure, as opposed to what the straight cut of the similar Lamb Skin Leather coat would have looked. She has worn it many times since she has got it and is still impressed with how comfortable and warm she feels in this frigid Winter in NJ, and how she has not felt overly warm in this light Shearling Coat. Bought as a gift for my wife. Absolutely beautiful coat with very soft hand. Has a fitted cut, so great if that is what you're looking for, will be too tight if you're used to a fuller fit.
