Aston Spanish Shearling Coat - Merino Wool (For Men)

Great coat, but as other reviewers noted, it is sized very small. I ordered 2 sizes up for my husband, and it fits perfectly; none too big. Other reviewers have noted loose buttons; we have not had a problem yet.

Nice coat. The sizing is off. I wear a 44 in everything. The 44 I ordered was too small and I returned it for a 46.

Will have to take the coat in for button attatchment, a lot of trouble in order to wear this otherwise very high quality item. It's not worth the trouble to return over this but it is annoying.

A medium-long coat of incredible, soft sheared Merino wool, suede on the outside. Elegant, close-fitting (you'll not wear a jacket underneath nor need to -- but the cut IS form-fitting), not heavy or bulky, and as others have reviewed, of top quality and design. If you want roomy fit, you'll have to order up a size -- and then the sleeves might be too long and need alterations. The contrast stitching might present a challenge to the tailor! The collar can be worn up and wrapped around the neck to keep out the cold, or let the lapels lie normally and have a very elegant coat line. A perfect coat for evening wear in wintry Santa Fe, or in New York streets in the cold, as a reviewer noted. Another bargain at STP prices, to include with my other Aston shearling coats bought here. This is the best coat I have ever owned. It is lightweight yet warm. It is well made and looks great. As I learned from the other Aston shearling coats I purchased from Sierra, I have to step up a bit from my usual size with them or else they are too tight through the shoulders. I ordinarily wear a size 39 regular suit, so I ordered this coat in size 42. It is a perfect fit. With the wrist buckles tightened, sleeve length is not an issue.

Everyone in Manhattan wears black so it's the cut & styling that stands out. I was stunned how warm this coat is despite its light weight and suppleness. The downside is you must check the integrity of the buttons. I was lucky when one unexpectedly popped off onto a hardwood floor. The tailor was duly impressed by the coat's overall quality. Otherwise, it's a top-notch garment.

Two buttons came off after one wearing. Fortunately, I did not loose them and they were easy to sew back on. The other two seem to be OK but I will need to monitor them so I do not completely loose one.

This is a very stylish and classy coat to wear when going out.
