The waist band sits nicely just below the waist, the rise is not too long or too short, the inseam was AWESOME (I am 5'11" and ususally have to take the hem down on pants--not so here!), and the fit is super flattering. The size 8 was true to size and not too tight through the thigh which is often a problem in dress pants below a size 10. I'm very please and hope to buy more pants from this label.
