Atelier Stretch Cotton Pants - Flat Front (For Women)

I love Atelier...it fits my body type the best and the quality for the price is excellent. These pants are cotton with a little spandex so I knew the chances were limited that they would hold up as well as my business Atelier pants do. I was glad to see that they didn't shrink excessively after carefully washing them (although they did shrink some), but was disappointed that the weight of the fabric changed a lot after washing. Sometimes cotton "tightens" up after washing and seems more substantial. These pants, although nice and soft and somewhat drapey, lost most of the "stiffness" that made them look crisp with a nice shape. That's understandable, but not holding their shape means they tend to bag in the rear.

Fit was just "OK", and they weren't too terribly flattering. Kind of baggy at the rear and in the crotch. Very thin fabric, would be nice for summer.

These pants are very versatile; lighter than a twill pant, but dressy enough for a business environment. The wide waistband is very flattering, and the pants fall nicely. I've been pretty happy with the quality of products put out by Atelier.

These are well made pants. I ordered both a 6 and an 8 because I was not sure which would fit. The 8 (my usual size) fit fine. These are very slightly boot cut, very flattering. They are long, with the size 8 having nearly a 34 inch inseam.
