Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jeff from Atlanta on Saturday, January 9, 2016Purchased this product 1 year ago, and after 4 uses the bag has begun to deteriorate. After 3 uses the fabric at the tail ripped open. After the last use, the ski brakes punctured the fabric in the midde/bottow of the bag. The fabric used in the bag is simply not up to the task of transporting skis. I like the size, padding, wheels, compression straps and carrying options; however, I advise against purchasing this bag.
Reviewed by Partizan from Boston, MA on Wednesday, February 18, 2015I purchased this bag for our recent ski trip to Whistler. We were able to fit our two skis (one 187cm and other 149cm long), two helmets, two pairs of ski poles, and pretty much all of our ski clothing without any issue. the only thing we didn't put in this bag was our boots for which we used Athalon everything boot bags. Though the bag is a padded bag, I'd still suggest using ski clothes as extra padding. You'll never know how the airports would handle these bags. With everything included the bag weighed about 45lbs, below the 50lbs limit. Bag and the straps survived the trip without any issue. I should agree though if you have two powder skis closer to the limit of 190cm things may get little crowded but you can always carry helmets separately from the bags I suppose. I would also suggest buying pairs of ski brake retainers (2-3$ per pair) to get the ski brakes out of the way and lay down the skis flat in the bag.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dan t. from Orlando,fl on Monday, January 28, 2013Bag almost didn't fit my two skis, 1 pair 179(wide pow ski) and the other a crud ski at 164. The bag had a hole by the wheel area underneath near where the plastic ended (small hole, but a hole) after the first leg of its first flight!! Nice looking bag, and easy to carry but if you have 2 sets you want to carry and they have touring bindings, they will not fit! Good padding, but I still used a towel. Sending the bag back when I get back!

Question & Answer
“What is the denier count of the polyester? Does it close with a coil or tooth zipper? If it has a coil zipper, what size is the zipper - #5, #8 or #10? Is it fully padded or only padded around the bindings? Is the divider padded?”
Zipper on this bag is a self healing nylon coil zipper. Inside of bag is padded along with the divider.
Yes it can be checked as luggage on an air carrier.
