Excellent performance - even in wet snow, the snow did not pack onto bottom of bindings. Very comfortable and easy to hike. My old snowshoes would accumulate snow balls under the ball of the foot in wet snow, making it impossible to walk without stopping to remove the accumulation every few minutes.

Tried these out in fresh powder and was amazed at how light and maneuverable they were. Definitely a very good product. One con: closing the buckles on the bindings was less than easy; one binding loosened, the culprit being the buckle. Other than that, I highly recommend these snowshoes.

These are excellent snowshoes, particularly for the price. The bindings are very easy to open and close (quite ingenious actually). The heel bar makes ascents much easier by reducing leg fatigue and increasing balance and traction (a heel bar is a must for someone planning on snowshoeing in steep terrain). The crampons have excellent traction. All around, I am very, very satisfied.

  • Question “What kind of boot do you have to have to attach this snow shoe?”
Asked on 10/4/2010 12:00:00 AM by Wannabe Yvon from Bakersfield, CA
    • Answer There is not a specific boot that is required for snow shoes. You can use snow boots or hiking boots. You just want warm boots that are comfortable to walk in.
