“I have some 174s from '08, and the only thing I have to say is, at 6' tall and with a narrow waist on the ski, I should have gone a little longer. Otherwise these are nice and light, the shortness helps going uphill in the trees, and the flex is forgiving enough to get over trees and other obstacles easily without breaking. They take skins OK. Downhill the skis require some speed and a rather small turn radii to really operate properly, but will grind up and down almost any conditions.”
