I get cold hands easily, so I got these for cross-country skiing. They're marketed more for snowboarding and/or alpine, but hey, who cares? I just got them and have not skied in them yet, but I can attest that they're well-insulated for the price, and fit well. Keep in mind that x-c is a heat-generating activity; my alpine mittens are Himalayan-caliber, but for most people, these would work for alpine skiing and snowboarding.

well it,s winter in michigan, and we have 20 inches of the white stuff. these gloves have worked great in these bitterly cold and heavy snows, very warm, and best of all WINDPROOF to keep the fingers warm. quality is awesome, what a bargain. will be buying another pair real soon as mien fell against the exsaust on my snowblower, a big hole on the top, my fault. BUY THEM.

I realy like this companies products and these mittens were just as I expected. They are really superior. I use them for cross country skiing and outdoor winter sports!

I have Raynaud's Disease, so my fingers get painful and frostbit very easily. I realized that mittens would keep me warmer than gloves, so I am very pleased with these. The removable liner is a nice feature, as well as all of the grams of Thinsulate. We get LOTS of snow, wind, and cold here on the edge of Lk. Michigan, but I love to be out in it, and can do so easily with these mittens. The only thing was the information said they only came in Blue, but I received a Black pair, but that is what I wanted anyway!

This men's medium mitten fits my wife's hands and she has smaller hands. They feel too small on me.

These were just what I was after. I was especially happy to find that the removable fleecy lining could be removed to wash / wear alone etc. My wife and I liked them so much that we bought her a pair.
