Closeouts. Designed for backcountry skiing, Auclair's Cow Mountain mittens have the exterior shell of mitten, but inside is a fleece glove to wrap each finger in cozy Thinsulate® LiteLoft insulation, not to mention an AquaStop® waterproofing system.

Haven't had them in the cold yet, but happy with quality and construction. Hard to beat Sierra prices. They do have a strap to secure them to your arm. I usually wear medium and this medium seems appropriate. Will use for skiing.

I got these because I figured they would be warm and I needed something waterproof. They also were on a sharp discount. I needed them for a winter trip to Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park. It was 0 at night and these did the trick, in fact they even warmed my hands up within just a few minutes after having them outside the mittens for a few minutes to have better dexterity setting up camp or taking a photo. I was pleased to have something so warm. I didn't think they were super soft on the inside unfortunately, so comfort-wise they maybe aren't the very best, but my hands were warm at the time and that's all I noticed.

Inside glove fingers and the softness of the leather create a warm mitt that is almost as dextrous as a glove. Wrist cuffs seal out the cold and snow. Easy to put on an off. So far impressed and waiting for snow to see how they hold up.
