I must admit my hands get cold easily on long walks, but these mittens don't help. They look & feel warm indoors but the elasticized section around the wrist area is weak & ineffective. The mittens are too open & fit loosely around the wrist allowing too much cold air in. The synthetic pile lining sheds a lot & got all over the black glove liners I needed to try to make these mittens work in 20 F weather. Because of the fleeced mitten cuffs, unless a jacket has tight fitting knit cuffs, the mittens & jacket wouldn't mesh together well. The size was pretty accurate. I measure medium size 8 & medium fit OK considering that you need enough room for liners. At the bargain price I got these, it's not practical to pay to return them; but if I had paid more, I would have returned them.

These are nice inexpensive mittens for a cold day. I didn't believe the size chart (I was in the upper end of the medium range)and ordered the large figuring that I could put on a pair of thin wool gloves for a liner but the medium would have been roomy enough.

I bought these for my daughter who has a circulation issue in her fingers. They are especially useful because of the zipper pockets on the back which is perfect for heat packs.
