I use these as my daily urban gloves. I left a previously bought paid on the bus and liked them so much I came back for another pair. It's almost zero degrees with a light breeze and my hands are warm and toasty.

  • Question “Are these good for driving? I.e. are they non-slip on the steering wheel?

Asked on 11/30/2016 6:24:19 PM by Gusli from Colorado
    • Answer Yes, great for driving. They are very soft, pliable suede. They really grip the wheel.

  • Question “What is "girth" and how is it measured for gloves? Thanks in advance.”

Asked on 2/15/2016 3:26:46 PM by Marley from Maryland
    • Answer girth refers to the width of your hand usually around the widest part. wrap a measuring tape around your palm just above the thumb. where the tape meets is what your glove size is.
Answered on 2/15/2016 4:17:32 PM by peggirl from Manitoba
    • Answer It's the distance around the palm of your hand. Just wrap a tape measure around your hand , above where your thumb branches off, but below your knuckles

  • Question “What is the lining made of? Are they warm in extremely cold frigid weather”

Asked on 1/6/2016 3:15:00 PM by Interested person from DC
    • Answer I have purchased sevral of these and the lining is an micro fabric. very soft, very warm fit nicely.
Answered on 1/6/2016 3:50:30 PM by peggirl from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada
    • Answer It's a polyester (polyfleece) that looks like wool fleece. I find these gloves very warm. It's been single digits in the morning when I walk to work and my hands have remained toasty. They do seem to block the wind which also helps a lot. I consider these my "urban" gloves, I would not use them for outdoor winter sports since they would absorb water.

    • Answer Unfortunately I cannot actually check on the gloves since, even though I bought 3 pair for myself, I lost all of them. If I recall correctly, the lining was made from wool (may have even been cashmere). I found them to be sufficiently warm here in the frigid Northeast but I do not stay outdoors for more than one hour at a time. They are beautiful gloves made of very soft leather. I will buy another pair for myself. Also bought already 3 pair for gifts and everybody loved them.

    • Answer The lining is Polyesther. They are excellent driving gloves but they are not warm in frigid weather.

    • Answer polyfleece as described in the ad, the gloves are lovely, soft and warm
Answered on 1/6/2016 4:28:22 PM by mkd from pa
    • Answer They are lined with a polyester fleece, fairly thin. I would not expect them to keep my hands warm for extended periods of time in very cold weather (my hands get cold easily, and for that weather I use mittens, not even fattly padded gloves). But they are soft and elegant. Dress gloves, and a bit warmer than regular lined leather, but not a lot.

    • Answer they are ok, but not too warm

    • Answer According to the product overview/specs above: Soft polyfleece lining
Answered on 1/13/2016 4:12:15 PM by Product Specialist Greg from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer Soft, THIN poly fleece lining in soft, THIN suede. I'm in Minnesota, and can vouch for their NOT being warm enough for frigid weather. For long dog walks, I consider them fall and early spring gloves-- down to about 25°F. Good driving gloves, but on the coldest days your hands will be cold in these until the heater gets going.
