I will be using these to cycle in winter temperatures - down to 20 degrees, which is my pain threshold. So far I've warn these at 25 degrees, and hands stayed comfortable with heaters off; 20 degrees should be no problem. And they should be great at even colder temps x-c skiing. Mittens seem well made and heaters work well. I am excited to put these through their paces.

I use these mittens for downhill skiing in cold climates. They keep your fingers warm and add to safety as you are not distracted by discomfort. They take a little practice to learn how do wear, due to their shape with their battery pack, but nothing too difficult to manage.

I bought these for my boyfriend who was complaining about his fingertips being cold while skiing. He has a pair of Burton gloves that cost $70. He wore these mittens and didn't even need to use battery pack. Actually his hands were sweating in 20* weather. He's very pleased with these mittens.

  • Question “These mittens arrived without any information/instruction attached.|The overview states each mitten requires 3 AA batteries, but there is only room for 2. Where in the mitten does the 3rd battery go? Also, is there an on/off switch?, and where is the high/low switch referred to in one of the other questions?”
Asked on 12/30/2012 12:00:00 AM by Liz from Unknown
    • Answer Mittens have a battery pack that holds 3 AA batteries. The on of switch is a button on the top of the battery pack that you push in to turn on and off.

  • Question “I need heat directly on the top of my hand and at the finger tips. My current mittens have a zipper that I can open and slip hand warmers (two) into the inside of the mitten. Are the heat/wires/cord just at the base of the palm? How exactly are these mittens able to heat the whole hand. When skiing it is the tips of fingers and thumbs that freeze and go numb.”
Asked on 6/22/2012 12:00:00 AM by lmp from newport, oregon
    • Answer There is a cord that runs through the base of the palm part that will keep you warm. The thumb is not heated

    • Answer Most manufacturers do not have temperature ratings for their garments due to the number of factors that affect how warm a garment may keep you.
