My husband is diabetic and doesn't have circulation in his hands. His fingers become extremely painful when it's cold out. When the gloves worked, he was happy. One of the gloves battery packs worked intermittently. When the battery back failed, the gloves weren't warm enough. [it wasn't the batteries -- we changed them, it was the device itself]. He couldn't take a chance being exposed to the cold. Of course, he is an extreme case.

I needed some heated gloves for cold weather (20-30 degree) motorcycle riding. These were a great value, but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. I ordered M and L since my measurements were close to both. The M was a good fit, so the sizing chart is accurate. If you're close to two sizes as I was, I've found you want heated gloves on the small side since this tends to keep the elements in better contact with your hands. One thing I noticed right away was that each size had a different control. The L had low and high heat via a slider switch, while the M had low, medium, and high via a push button. Riding in 30 degree weather my fingertips still got as cold as with my normal cold weather gloves. I was hoping to use the M size inside of some XL gloves I have but they were too bulky. I think these would be fine for outdoor cold weather use like shoveling snow or other outdoor work, but they don't offer enough wind protection or heat to make them viable for motorcycling. The battery life appears to be very limited as well, but they use 3x AA batteries each, so replacements are cheap.

I bought two pairs of these gloves. One pair for me, (female) and one pair for a friend (male). I have searched the world over looking for gloves that will keep my hands warm since I have a circulatory problem. After years of searching I thought I'd give these a try. The heating unit definitely works, the hot setting is not really "hot", but it truly helps protect my hands. I turn them off when my hands feel warm because the batteries do not last. They only last for about one hour. The info on the web is deceiving. The gloves come with their own info, and it will even tell you, regular batteries will not last that long. But cold hands for me could prove dangerous so I was willing to try these and I'm VERY glad I did. The gloves without the batteries would still prove very warm for someone who doesn't have trouble with cold hands like my friend.

Generic disposable batteries last many uses if used correctly. I turn the heat on for about 10 minutes, long enough to get my hands very warm, then turn them off. Even in below zero weather these gloves are warm and don't really need the heaters turned on.

The gloves itself is warm, but not warm enough to ride in cold weather. It didn't really heat up to much. Im sure if you have it on in a warm inviorment with it on, then go out it would keep your fingers warm for a little while.

I highly anticipated using these gloves based on the claims - 4-5 hr. battery life, high warmth, waterproof. Disappointed to a greater or lesser degree on all three. Batteries last barely an hour on medium setting - and if like me you're very sensitive to the cold, carrying extra batteries means exposing your hands to cold weather, as they're way too bulky to change batteries with the gloves still on your hands. I find only the highest heat setting adequately effective when it's around 40 degrees or below, limiting battery life further. They are water resistant, but not waterproof. In a steady medium rain expect the water to soak in after a while, not only producing chilled hands but it'll make you feel like you're lugging around boxing gloves. I'm still experimenting with them (rechargeable batteries that put out 1.5v; often one of the 3 batteries get drained while the other two test ok - defect in the gloves' electrical draw or a battery problem?), but am mulling giving up on them and perhaps sending them back.

These gloves are amazing. My sister has sclerderma, an auto immune disorder, and they keep her hands warm. I bought these gloves for her and she tells me they keep her hands nice and warm.
