Wool is a nice change from the "waterproof" stuff, which leaves my hands feeling clammy. In 35-40 degree weather, these keep my hands fairly warm (I haven't used them in sub-35 degrees but I imagine they'll let in too much cold air).
Only real complaint I have with them is that they are a bit thick for "light" gloves.

I bought these as a gift for a man and was not sure of size. Compared size chart to my own average women's hand, and ordered Men's Large. They seemed to be alright for the average man's hand. I thought overall quality very nice, warm but not bulky.
