Auclair Shearling Gloves (For Women)

Very warm and stylish.

The gloves look and feel comfortable and warm; I hope that the wear is as good as some of the consumer comments! So far, the weather has been very mild in the vicinity of Chicago, IL, for this time of year - November/December, so I haven't had a chance to test them against thermal necessities for cold weather!

These are great gloves for the price! Well made, fit well and I think will keep my fingers warm this winter!

2 problems: 1) These are described as "shearling" but the lining is more like a cheap fake fur. 2) Bought 2 pair in same size but they are different sizes.

The gloves are just as advertised. They fit perfectly and will keep my hands warm in the cold Wisconsin winters.

I bought these because I usually buy leather gloves with fur lining for their warmth without the bulk. But gloves like that are usually dressy and I end up trashing them because I use them as an all-around glove (playing outside with the kids, carrying firewood, shoveling snow, etc). These were a nice warm alternative that held up well to my punishment. They conformed to my hands like a leather glove would, slightly thicker, but not bulky as I was expecting. Kept my hands warm except for one or 2 of the very coldest days. I just wish they were a better quality item. The fleece inside was scratchy, and by the end of the winter the inside fleece was worn at one of the fingertips and I had sewn up holes at the seams a few times. Still, they survived the whole winter and even with the worn area inside the fingertip my finger did not get cold. I would be wearing them this year, if I could find them!

After wearing them I noticed that my fingernails and nailbeds were black.

There was nothing on the product to indicate that it was shearling. It didn't feel like shearling. It was still warm, but scratchy.

I say these gloves are the perfect contradiction, because they are beautiful, soft, warm, perfect in every way, but the craftsmanship is poor. The stitching is on the outside, and after a week's wear, I have holes already. Too late to send them back. Luckily, the price was great, but now I understand why. Lovely gloves in every way, otherwise.

I like the comfort of sheepskin. They will stretch slightly.
