  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Not worth their retail price
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jill from NH on Tuesday, October 23, 2012
I bought these to replace a similar pair from Eddie Bauer that were too small. However, that pair retailed for under $100, had a 100% soft wool outer and a silk lining. I thought with the outrageous retail price of these pants, I would be getting a great deal with quality materials and craftsmanship. However, I should have read the specs closer - they are only ~50% wool and the lining is polyester. The materials feel cheap and scratchy.

The stretchiness and the wide, contoured waistband are nice though. The top part fit my curvy figure well (30" natural waist, 42" low hip). I almost considered keeping them because STP had such a great price, but the bottoms were HUGE! Seriously wide legs. They completely swallowed my Dankso clogs (size 7). They also would have needed to be hemmed a good 2 inches (I'm 5'3"). Not worth the effort for the sub-par materials. STP has the right idea with the bargain price, but I don't know who would have ever paid retail price for these.

Great pants; classic design; zipper on side; flat front. Long...I've got to get these hemmed. Definitely spacious / bell-like at bottom.

I had really hoped that these would work out for me, but even with a lining, the wool was too scratchy for comfort. The waist fit fine, and the length was good for a tall girl, so I was sad. My pair was returned.

About Audrey Talbott

In the 1950's Audrey Talbott arrived with her husband Robert in Carmel, California, where they started a company founded in sophisticated East Coast traditions. Their first venture was to produce quality shirts and neckwear for the discriminating gentleman, a venture that took them to the Far East in search of the finest silks. Of course, it wasn't long before the Audrey Talbott clothing company branched out into women's apparel, and Audrey brought refined taste and femininity to her collection of shirts, sweaters and accessories -- all exquisitely crafted to her superior standards. Audrey Talbott clothing is defined by sumptuous materials, rich textures and classic styles that satisfy a woman's need to be fashionable at the workplace and on weekends.
