I like this little shirt a lot. Bought 3. The color is a taupe beige (not yellowy beige). The front is longer and you can blouse it over whatever you are wearing. The back does not "billow". The material in the shirt was amazingly comfortable, but I had to return it. The material was see-through on the sides and it had all this material at the sides that just looked kind of strange on me.

This is a comfortable shirt, slightly on the roomy size. The back and sides are lovely knit fabric, but the center front panel is a woven fabric that is quite transparent, making a camisole needed. I don't want to have to wear a second layer in warm weather, so this is being returned.
    • Cons: Transparent Front
    • Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational
    • Fit: Feels true to size
    • Pros: Allows Free Movement, Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight

It's a nice alternative to the "standard white button-down" shirt. However, it does need ironing.
    • Best Uses: Casual Wear
    • Cons: Wrinkles Easily
    • Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented
    • Sizing: Feels too large

The seams and stitching is carefully done. Like the comfortable dolman sleeves. It's not a dramatic shirt, just something really neutral, lightweight, stitched really well that you can throw over anything. No changes after a hand wash.

The combination of fabrics makes this an interesting shirt - unfortunately, it also makes it difficult to iron, even on low heat.

About August Silk

It is no accident that August Silk is named thus... for it is their luxurious silk fabrics and knits which define the major portion of this company's infinitely feminine clothing line. August Silk is involved in every conceivable facet of its silk business in China, from growing cocoons to spinning yarns to designing fashions. It is said that silk was invented when an ancient Chinese empress dropped a cocoon into her tea and it unraveled into glorious silk threads subsequently sought after by royalty all over the world. Whether or not this legend is true, it is most certainly true that silk is one of the most luxurious and lustrous fibers in the textile industry and August Silk is among its most accomplished purveyors.
